Preparing for High Temps

Hello MES families,
We will continue to closely monitor the high temperatures and heat index expected this week, as they may impact our end of year activities. If possible, please make sure to send your child(ren) to school in light, loose-fitting clothing and with a water bottle that can be refilled - especially if they are going on a field trip.

As I mentioned on Friday, We will follow recommended protocols for PE, recess and other physical activity based on the heat index and ensure students have access to water throughout these hot days. We will also be taking steps to reduce the temperature in classrooms, such as drawing in cooler air at night with our vent system, and providing additional fans throughout the building.
