To those who answered the call, students at Marion Elementary School say thank you.
On Monday, students at the Elementary School gathered for a Veterans Day ceremony to show their appreciation for those who served. First and second-graders opened by leading the Pledge of Allegiance ahead of class readings by third graders, then fourth graders. Brooke F. spoke about the meaning of Veterans Day and Izel C. talked about Honor Flight and included information on how people can become involved. Mrs. Flint followed with a Veterans Roll Call while members of the Towpath Volunteers Senior Fife and Drum Corps based in Macedon offered accompaniment.
Students and guests then observed a moment of silence before the ceremony concluded with a video.
We’re proud of the work and preparation our young students put into making this year’s ceremony a way to honor those who served America. Thank you to our guests who made the time to attend our Monday service, and for your service!
